Radiology Manager

Clifton Park Hospital, York

Closing Date: 4th August 2024

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality imaging services, focusing on person centred care, quality improvement, all whilst leading a team? Are you an engaging, motivated individual with a proven track record in leading and managing a teams? If so, we would like to hear from you.  

You will be an experienced Radiographer who possesses highly developed knowledge of radiographic techniques, experienced in clinical governance. This role will aid the senior leadership team in striving for CQC “outstanding” rating. The day-to-day job is varied, will include working as part of the team, leading and managing a team, working with other management colleagues to ensure effective and safe delivery of patient care.

Our Radiology department boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a Siemens Sola 1.5T MRI scanner, which has been operational since August 2022. Additionally, we have two Philips digital x-ray rooms, ultrasound services, and mobile CT facilities.

What you will bring with you

  • HCPC registered 
  • A good understanding of governance within imaging
  • A broad knowledge of imaging procedures
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of RIS/PACS management
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Passion to deliver high quality diagnostic services
  • Evidence of post registration development

About us

Clifton Park Hospital opened in 2006 and is located on the outskirts of York. The modern purpose built hospital has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has first-class medical facilities including 24 beds, three theatres, a day care unit, a large outpatient department with X-ray facilities and on-site physiotherapy, including a small gym area.

Clifton Park Hospital is in a partnership with York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust through the provision of additional capacity to support reduction in elective waiting times for Orthopaedic and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) patients in the locality.

In 2018, the hospital opened a new outpatient department with 11 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and x-ray facilities.
