Our client, a global leader in payment processing, is seeking a Reconciliations Controller for an 8-month fixed term contract based in their state of the art Manchester City Centre offices. What you'll do:
As a Reconciliations Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of WPAP bank accounts, APMs, PSPs and internal/external account transfers. You will be responsible for supervising exception processes, managing a team of Reconciliation Controllers and acting as the key contact for the business regarding specialist technical knowledge for reconciliations. Your ability to manage queries and escalations within the team while prioritising workload effectively will be crucial in ensuring all SLA's are adhered to. This role also involves working on special projects away from Business As Usual (BAU) activities where you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Reconciliations.
Manage the reconciliation of all WPAP bank accounts, APMs, PSPs and internal/external account transfers.
Supervise exception processes including escalations, stakeholder relationships and ad-hoc project work.
Manage a team of Reconciliation Controllers.
Act as key contact for the business regarding specialist technical knowledge for reconciliations.
Responsible for collation and analysis of statistics and KPI's.
Support management in driving Reconciliations' strategy forward.
Manage queries and escalations for the team.
Work on Reconciliation projects away from BAU to act as a Reconciliations SME.
Prioritise workload effectively throughout the day to ensure all SLA's are adhered to.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Reconciliations Controller position brings demonstrable experience within Reconciliations/Operational Finance along with a good understanding of WPAP Reconciliations processes. You must be confident communicating at all levels including team meetings, manager communications, and head of department escalations. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel is essential. Having a qualification or working towards AAT, Accounting or Finance Degree would be an advantage.
Proven experience within Reconciliations/Operational Finance.
Good understanding of WPAP Reconciliations processes.
Confident communicator at all levels.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Qualification or working towards AAT, Accounting or Finance Degree would be an advantage.
