Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Refuse Collector to work with a Derby-based Local Authority on a temporary basis. This is an ad hoc role, working up to 37 hours per week as the service requires. The shifts for this post will mainly be be 06:00 – 15:45. This is a highly physical role that involves working in all weather conditions and some heavy lifting.
As a Refuse Collector for Derby City Council, you will walk long distances, collecting domestic refuse across Derby.
The ideal candidate will have a good level of physical fitness, and be happy to move heavy bins and spend long periods of time on their feet in all weather conditions.
As the successful candidate you would be expected to have the following:
- Customer service skills
- Team working skills
- A strong work ethic
- UK driver’s license
