Refuse HGV Driver

Location: Oldham

Pay: £14.19 per hour

Hours: 7am – 5pm – Monday – Friday (including bank holidays if required)

We are looking for Refuse Waste Drivers to work in and around Oldham.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle checking and completing paperwork prior to starting each morning.


• Collecting rubbish and recycling from residential homes.


• Driving around the local Borough in a safe and effective manner.


• Taking full lorries to waste management sites and empty load.


• Responsible for crew.


• Some loading may be required to help team.

Requirements essential

• Class 2 Entitlement (heavy goods vehicle).


• Valid CPC drivers qualification card.


• Valid Digicard.


• No more than 6 points on DL.


• Good knowledge of the local area.


• Experience of driving refuse, recycling vehicles beneficial – Training will be provided.


• The ability to work well with others.


• The ability to operate and control equipment.


• To be thorough and pay attention to detail.


• The ability to organise your time and workload.


• Excellent customer service skills as dealing with the general public.


• The ability to work well under pressure.


• Knowledge of public safety and security.


• Working in all weather conditions.
