Working arrangements:
Hybrid model with remote working flexibility. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly to meet regional team members and stakeholders and engage with the FDP team in London.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Account Manager to join NHS England’s Federated Data Platform team. This role is vital in driving the regional adoption and successful implementation of the FDP, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing data connectivity across the NHS.
As a Regional Account Manager, you will play a critical role in engaging with NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Boards within your designated region, ensuring the effective rollout and utilisation of the FDP. You will be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their operational needs, and aligning them with the capabilities of the FDP to support improved healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of the FDP’s vision, use cases, and benefits, effectively communicating these to stakeholders across your region.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders in regional health systems, care delivery organisations, and NHS England.
Collaborate closely with regional delivery managers, business readiness managers, and technology delivery teams to support the adoption and integration of FDP products.
Design and implement tailored engagement strategies for regional organisations, addressing any challenges to ensure smooth onboarding and usage.
Monitor and report on engagement progress, using strategic insights to refine and enhance regional roll-out plans.
About the Programme:
The Federated Data Platform is a major component of NHS England's Data Services, designed to unify and streamline data connectivity across the NHS. By integrating existing IT systems into a single, secure platform, the FDP facilitates improved information sharing, supports local population health management, and provides real-time insights for better decision-making in care delivery and operational management.
The FDP programme focuses on delivering tangible benefits to patients and staff, aligning with NHS priorities and ensuring that each organisation can effectively adopt and utilise the platform to enhance care quality and efficiency.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in healthcare or digital transformation, particularly within the NHS or a similar large-scale healthcare environment. You will have a proven track record in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and project management, with the ability to navigate complex organisational structures and drive adoption of innovative digital solutions.
Essential Attributes:
Ability to understand the broader vision of the FDP and develop strategic plans to promote its adoption in alignment with NHS objectives.
Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior NHS officials and regional healthcare leaders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to various audiences and adapting messaging as needed.
Strong project management skills, with experience in planning and executing engagement Analytical skills to identify risks and develop effective solutions, ensuring operational excellence and overcoming barriers to adoption.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) and stakeholder engagement techniques are advantageous.
Significant experience in the healthcare sector, ideally within the NHS or related projects, with familiarity with NHS structures, operational challenges, and regulatory frameworks.
A solid understanding of digital health platforms and data management principles is beneficial given the technological focus of the FDP.
