Friends & Coare happy to announce a new children's home opening in Wolverhampton. The home is a lovely detached and very spacious 5-bedded home, decorated to a high standard.
We will support young people with learning disabilities and complex needs, aged from 8 to 18 years old, in the new home.
This opportunity will see you lead and inspire your own team. With your guidance, the team will ensure that the children living within the home have the very best care, great role models and a place to call home.
The Registered Manager will be the person who holds direct responsibility and ownership of the Children Residential home service, ensuring you efficiently manage the daily performance of the home applying improvements where necessary and constantly quality assuring the services that are being provided.
You will display a robust, motivational and consistent leadership skills to the workforce and to external professionals/agencies at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To manage the allocated Children residential home maintaining an efficient strategy within the service that is according to all current legislation, procedures, policies and within the statement of purpose for the home.
Undertake training and development to keep current with the law, best practices and apply this knowledge to the management of the home.
To produce a development plan for the home and the service that will be provided to children, evaluating standard of performance and scrutinising to apply improvements that can be work towards.
To contribute positively to the development of relationship with external professionals and agencies.
To complete a monthly basis rota that ensures that all the childrens needs have been met.
Ensure that all the clinical processes and medication is in line with legislation.
To be accountable to Ofsted and liaising with regulatory organisations ensuring the home is being efficiently managed.
Ensuring that all the necessary documentation required by regulators is completed to a high standard and is available at any time for Ofsted inspections.
To be part of the home on-call duties and provide advice and guidance to support when required ensuring all emergency on call issues are dealt with effectively. In addition to take part in On-Call service for the out of hours.
To demonstrate a robust knowledge of child protection issues and procedures, to have significant knowledge within; legislation relevant to this sector, the childrens home regulations 2015 including Quality Standards, SCIFF, Childrens Act.

Competitive salary of up to £60,000 including bonus
Future Progression: Salary with registration from 3 to 5 would be up to £65k.

Requirements:
A successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a previous track record of positive outcomes for the young people youve previously worked with, in addition to demonstrating a continued constructive level of support to colleagues and others around you to help get the best out of the team at all times. Being able to work from initiative is important to showing strong leadership in a Senior role.
At least 2 year in a management role in a children home.
NVQ Level 3 In Children and Young Peoples work force
LEVEL 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)
A Good or Outstanding grade within your recent Ofsted Inspections
Full UK Driving License
Excellent knowledge of Ofsted regulations, health and social care legislation and regulatory requirements
Enthusiasm, passion and determination to achieve Outstanding and deliver the highest quality childcare.

All applicants must be willing to undergo and enhanced DBS check and must be able to provide at least two references covering the past two years. Applicants must also provide information for all positions related to working with children and the vulnerable and details of employment going back to full time education.
