JOB DESCRIPTION – REGISTERED MANAGER

Position: Full Time Registered Manager

Responsible To: Service Manager / Director

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Annual Leave: 25 days + 8 days bank holiday (or pro rata)

About You / Purpose of Position

As a Registered Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our care teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and support to our service users. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our care homes and services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation. With a focus on a trauma-based approach, quality, safety, and person-centred care, you will work closely with our staff to create a supportive and positive environment for our children and young people. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To be involved in referrals including assessments, liaising with the current care team, family
members and advocates, devising initial personalised care plans and risk assessments.
2. Take responsibility for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements
including (but not exclusively) all aspects of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (revised 2012),
Health and Safety, COSHH, Mental Capacity Act (#####), and Deprivation of Liberty
Safeguards.
3. To monitor the effective running of the home ensuring all legislation and regulations
concerning environmental health, infection control, and health and safety are met. Ensure
risk assessments are carried out, including fire checks to maintain a safe environment
throughout the home.
4. To have a good understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards, liaise and cooperate with the
CQC and be responsible for completing Statutory Notifications where relevant.
5. To ensure that all legal and statutory records are completed and that records concerning the
home are displayed – including insurance certificates, registration documents, etc.
6. Ensure that there is a record of maintenance issues and relevant actions taken to resolve
issues.
7. To be responsible for controlling and monitoring the budget and expenditure of the home in
relation to petty cash and service users' finances.
8. To ensure that the service users are protected from harm and take a lead role in
Safeguarding matters.
