Salary: £42,000 per annum + 10% discretionary bonus

This is a key leadership position where you will manage the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high-quality care is delivered while adhering to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with a strong background in care and leadership, and will thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment.
About the Role: As the Registered Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supported living service. You will ensure the highest standards of care are delivered and that the service is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements. Your role will involve managing a dedicated team of care professionals, guiding them to provide exceptional care for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and supportive environment for both the individuals in care and the staff team.
Your leadership will be key in ensuring the service runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with the organizations values of providing person-centered care. You will manage the service during high-pressure and unpredictable situations, remaining calm, composed, and professional when individuals are in crisis.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the supported living service, ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the service, from care delivery to staff management and regulatory compliance.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including CQC standards. Prepare for and manage inspections, ensuring that the service continually meets or exceeds regulatory requirements.

Care Quality Management: Lead the development and implementation of care plans tailored to the individual needs of service users, ensuring that care delivery is safe, effective, and person-centered.

Staff Management and Development: Lead and inspire a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that they can deliver high-quality care. Conduct regular performance appraisals and support staff in their professional development.

Financial Oversight: Manage the financial aspects of the service, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control, while ensuring high-quality care is maintained.

Safeguarding and Compliance: Ensure the service adheres to safeguarding protocols and delivers care in a way that upholds the highest ethical standards. Lead by example to foster a culture of safety and compliance.

Crisis Management: Manage high-pressure situations and crises effectively, supporting staff to remain calm and respond appropriately when service users are in need of urgent care or support.

Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain strong working relationships with families, external professionals, and regulatory bodies. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the needs of the service users are met.

Leadership and Teamwork: Foster a supportive and collaborative environment where team members are motivated, valued, and encouraged to contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.

Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor and evaluate the quality of care being provided. Provide reports to senior management and external agencies, as required.

About You: The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing care services, particularly in supported living, and will be passionate about delivering high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities and autism. You will have experience working with complex needs, including mental health challenges, and be able to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and empathy.
We are looking for someone who possesses strong leadership qualities and is capable of managing a team while ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance. A deep understanding of CQC requirements and safeguarding protocols is essential.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Registered Manager, ideally within a supported living or similar setting, managing individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

Qualifications: A Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (Adult Care) or a commitment to working towards this qualification.

CQC Knowledge: A thorough understanding of CQC regulations and the ability to ensure compliance at all times.

Leadership Skills: Proven experience of leading and managing a team, with a strong ability to motivate, support, and develop staff.

Crisis Management Skills: Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage crises when service users are in urgent need of support.

Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with service users, families, professionals, and regulatory bodies.

Safeguarding Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding policies and practices and a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of service users.

Financial Management: Experience with budgeting and financial planning, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources while maintaining high care standards.
