We now have an opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated Registered Service Manager to join us to make a positive difference in the supported accommodation sector for 16/17-year-old and 18 plus young people.
This role is a mixture of remote and agile working across multiple sites - Derbyshire (Buxton, Alfreton, Chesterfield), Leicestershire (Oadby) and Greater Manchester (Salford).
The role
This key role will require you to deliver services which are fully compliant with legislation and regulatory requirements of The Quality Standards for supported accommodation for young people as issued by the Secretary of State under section 23 of the 2000 Care Standards Act, being introduced by Ofsted from April 2023.
Working with the Assistant Director of Quality & Support and the operational team, you will be responsible for the implementation, development and growth within the supported living area of the business and you will ensure the services we provide are of excellent quality, within keeping of our Values and meet the requirements of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
You will support operational teams to investigate qualitative data and identify customer experience gaps in line with Ofsted regulatory requirements, quality assurance framework, improvement plans and agreed timelines.
Providing leadership and guidance throughout the organisation, you will oversee the implementation of the Statement of Purpose in respect of the supported accommodation undertaking and keep it under regular review to ensure it remains young person focused. You will develop, implement and report on an annual internal audit program identifying trends, risks, and areas of improvement across in all service delivery areas in line with quality assurance framework, legislation, and the Associations strategic objectives.
About you
We are looking for a Registered Service Manager with:

A qualification in, or working towards (seek to acquire within 3 years of registration), a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or equivalent as a minimum
*
Experience in a similar role requiring the supervision and management of staff in a setting for young people operating in supported housing and / or care
*
Substantial experience of working with young people and regulatory frameworks
*
Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures and strategic objectives
*
Knowledge and understanding of expectations consistent with Safeguarding and Child Protection
*
An understanding of both effective practice in responding to the needs of looked-after children and care leavers aged 16 and 17, and of local authority statutory duties to both cohorts and how supported accommodation settings are required to support these

Knowledge of statutory, regulatory and standards requirements including Children Acts 1989 and 2004, Care Standards Act 2000, Equality Act 2010, Working Together to Safeguard Children
*
Excellent interpersonal and communication, project and presentation skills
*
Effective listening skills and the ability to self-reflect
*
Clear and concise report writing for a variety of audiences
*
Excellent decision-making skills
*
A driving license and use of a car for work
