About us



As a small animal RCVS accredited training practice offering advanced surgeries, we are at the heart of community life. Many of our clients have been with us for years, trusting us to take the best possible care of their extended family members. 



You will be joining an outstanding team of Vets and Nurses, SVN and ANA, with our clinical team is also supported by an equally brilliant and welcoming team of 6 client care advisors as well as our Practice Manager who is also a RVN. Raul is the practice owner of both Truro and Camborne vets, specialising in Orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery.

The role



You’ll have the opportunity to put all your hard-earned skills in to practice with varied days including being able to engage anaesthetics, Schedule 3 procedures (if this is something that interests you) complex in-patient care and nurse clinics. The role has a huge amount of scope giving the freedom to progress in the areas that you enjoy most. As an owner Raul feels incredibly passionate about nurses utilising all their skills and knowledge and therefore CPD is something that is always encouraged. 



This role is full or part time (20-40 hours per week) and includes 1 in 4 Saturdays. (No OOH, Sundays. Bank holidays are shared between nurses but we are closed Christmas day, Boxing Day and New years’ day.)



About you



We are looking for an RVN who is down to earth with great communication skills, both with colleagues and clients alike. Someone that has passion for nursing and always wanting to provide excellent care. 



Experience would be beneficial however we are a very supportive team who will also be happy to support you if this is one of your first roles.

The practice and location:



The practice itself has been expanded and refurbished comprising two theatres, three consulting rooms, a dog ward a cat ward and an isolation facility. One of our theatres is for Orthopaedic procedures and Lap Spays, we also have digital x-rays, endoscopy and arthroscopy.  



Based in an ideal location in Cornwall, we are surrounded by wonderful scenery and some of the best beaches in the country within 15-20 minutes’ drive. Truro has great access to the A30 and the A390 which connects the city to Falmouth, Redruth, Liskeard, and Plymouth.
