Regulatory Lawyer

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a large UK healthcare regulator, for an experienced regulatory lawyer to join their investigations team, working on their most complex and high-profile cases. This role is being offered on a fixed-term basis initially, starting as soon as possible and lasting until March 2025 in the first instance. You will provide sound legal advice at the screening and investigations stage of the fitness to practise process, ensuring cases are progressed appropriately. You will work in a team with other investigations lawyers, senior paralegals, caseworkers, and you will report to a senior investigations lawyer. To apply you will be: A UK-qualified solicitor, admitted to the SRA for England and Wales (or a UK-qualified barrister, admitted to the Bar Standards Board) At least 2 years PQE, with experience working for a regulatory body or similar (ideally healthcare, but other sectors will also be considered) Comfortable working on high-profile cases, including those which may attract media attention Able to commute to the office in London on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week in the office and 3 days per week working from home The salary starts at £56,043 per annum and will be increased dependant on performance.
