Role: Security Officer



Location: LE15



Pay rate: £12 - £14.25 per hour dependant on site



Shift Pattern: Various Day & Night Shifts



Our customer is a forward-thinking privately-owned company who are a leading provider of professional integrated bespoke security and facilities management services, giving their clients a flexible and scalable approach to addressing their security and FM requirements in their businesses across an array of sectors including educational settings / student accommodation, healthcare, charitable, corporate / estate management, warehouse / distribution, social housing, utilities, shopping centres / retail parks.





Site Overview:



Our client is a leading co-educational independent boarding school. Its 800 pupils, aged 13-18, are accommodated in 15 boarding houses, taught by over 20 academic departments, and participate in numerous extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, and drama. The academic programme is supported by business units responsible for marketing, estates, finance, human resources, IT, catering, cleaning, health and safety, and the schools trading subsidiary. The school employs over 700 staff.



The built estate has 80 buildings, including teaching blocks, assembly buildings, boarding houses, staff housing, administrative and technical accommodation, and sports facilities. The school covers approximately 120 non-contiguous acres, almost one mile apart at its extremities and interspersed by town housing and retail properties.



Job description:



· Work in collaboration with the Security Team to prepare a list of visitors to site daily.



· Provide courteous and friendly assistance and direction to all visitors.



· Be a focal point of information to visitors and staff



· Notify the hosts when visitors arrive and guide them to venue.



· Manage a signing in/badging register within the Security Lodge.



· Manage a staff and visitor car registration log for emergency use.



· Collate and frank all outgoing post daily and ensure all departments receive incoming mail promptly.



· Assist and direct all couriers to relevant areas and departments around the site.



· Provide telephone switchboard cover on Saturday morning



Other duties will be required:



CCTV monitoring



Salto admin



ANPR



Fire & intruder alarm monitoring



Meet and Greet



Essential requirements:



Valid SIA DS licence



Enhanced DBS or be happy to have one carried out



Driving licence, and access to their own motor vehicle



Excellent observation skills and attention to detail



Excellent customer service



Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)



Excellent PC Skills (MS Suite)



Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations



Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time



Must be happy to wear work wear attire
