Role Overview:

As an RE Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping students' understanding of various religious and ethical perspectives. Your primary responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a supportive learning environment, and encouraging students to explore and respect different beliefs and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality RE lessons that cater to a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement creative and engaging teaching materials and resources.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages open dialogue and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development of the RE curriculum.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to support student learning and development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's wider community.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching RE at [Key Stage 3-5].
  • Strong knowledge of various religious traditions and ethical frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
