The School and Role
ABC Teachers is seeking a Long-Term Religious Studies Supply Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in Yardley. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, academic excellence, and commitment to developing well-rounded students who respect diverse beliefs and perspectives.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Encourage critical thinking and open discussion on world religions, ethics, and philosophy.
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to student needs.
Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
The successful RE Teacher will have;
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for exploring different cultures, beliefs, and ethical issues.
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
