We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Remedial Works Specialist to join their team, focusing on addressing and resolving snagging issues in newly completed properties.
Role Overview:
As a Remedial Works Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting and rectifying defects, snags, and finishing issues in new build homes. You will play a key role in ensuring that properties meet our high standards before handover to the customer, working closely with site managers, contractors, and clients to deliver a flawless final product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of new build homes to identify snags and defects.
- Perform a wide range of remedial tasks including carpentry, plastering, painting, plumbing, and general finishing.
- Ensure all snagging work is completed to a high standard within the agreed timelines.
- Liaise with customers, site managers, and subcontractors to communicate progress and manage expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report on project status.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed on site.
Requirements:
- Strong multi-trade skills (e.g., carpentry, painting, tiling, plumbing).
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving license
Desirable
- Proven experience in a similar remedial or snagging role within the construction or housing industry.
- NVQ Level 2 qualified or equivalent preferable
- First aid qualification (2 or 5 day certification)
- Fire prevention/resistance certification
- Cherry Picker certification
