As the Repairs Engineer you will join the Repairs team with the responsibility of fault finding and repair to component level our wide range of products. This will involve both analogue and digital electronics and their interaction with the mechanical systems. Some broader understanding of networking, controls systems, Windows, Linux and iOS would be an advantage. There could be travel opportunities for the right candidate, to carry out onsite repairs and training. The candidate should have a can-do attitude and be comfortable interacting with the engineering team.





Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:





Working through a prioritised list of repairs.



Taking on ad hoc specialist repairs.



Interacting with the Support team.



Maintaining a work log on our MRP system.



There will be some requirement to assist with day-to-day activities, commensurate with your capabilities, within the company, particularly within Support and Test departments.





Desired Skills and experience





Essential





Technically capable with a clear history of working in a test and repair environment.



Show a good ability for fault finding and be able take the necessary corrective action and verification.



A good understanding of electronics, both analogue and digital, including reading and



understanding circuit diagrams as well as a good understanding of component types.



Experience working with small electro mechanical assemblies



Excellent soldering skills, mechanical assembly and practical skills.



Computer literacy.





Desirable





Academic electronics background-HNC/HND/degree



Knowledge of Networking and communication systems (IP / Wi-Fi / GSM / serial).



Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, iOS).

Willingness to learn and develop



Time management and organisational skills



Proactive and Self-Motivated



Good communication skills, both written and verbal



Able to work under pressure.
