Asset/Repairs Manager

We are a small, community-focused housing association in West London looking for a dedicated Asset/Repairs Manager to oversee our asset management and repairs function. This temporary role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working both strategically and operationally, including administrative tasks to address the nitty-gritty details of our operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage and oversee the asset management function, ensuring all properties are maintained to high standards.
- Coordinate repair works, from obtaining quotes to overseeing completion.
- Handle the management of void properties, preparing them for new tenants efficiently.
- Organise and manage stock condition surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
- Work collaboratively with the compliance team, contributing knowledge that may assist in their operations.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors, tenants, and team members.
- Perform operational administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the asset management and repairs function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in asset management and/or repairs within a housing association or similar environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with team members and external parties.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in obtaining quotes, managing contractors, and overseeing property maintenance.
- Knowledge of compliance in the housing sector is beneficial but not essential.
