Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Repairs Contracts Manager to lead our MOD projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of repair and maintenance contracts, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards while meeting MOD requirements. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional project management skills and a deep understanding of MOD regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee all repair and maintenance contracts for MOD facilities.
  • Ensure all projects comply with MOD regulations and quality standards.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to achieve optimal outcomes for the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with MOD representatives, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, ensuring adherence to contract terms and MOD guidelines.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess work quality and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the contract period promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, costs, and performance metrics to MOD stakeholders.
  • Lead and motivate a team of project managers, technicians, and support staff to deliver exceptional results.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in contract management, project management, or a similar role within the defence or facilities management sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of MOD regulations, contract law, negotiation, and administration.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Security clearance or the ability to obtain security clearance is essential.
