The Role:
Manage the delivery of day to day maintenance and repairs as well as compliance obligations while keeping a high level of tenant satisfaction and value for money.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide visible leadership and management of the repairs team, responsible for delivering high quality maintenance and repairs, ensuring all key operational and financial targets are achieved.
• Coordinate all aspects of property compliance relating to fire, water, gas, electrical, asbestos and building safety.
• Be accountable for the budget for the repairs service, fostering a culture of value for money in all activities.
• Ensure services are provided in a way that keeps tenants, colleagues and third parties safe.
• Have a proactive approach to tenant consultation on setting and reviewing repairs service standards.
• Ensure contractor performance targets are met.
• Be responsible for ensuring auditable recording of compliance information.
• Manage the design and implementation of robust and efficient business processes.
• Support the protection and safety of our customers, with safeguarding procedures correctly followed.

Experience & Knowledge:

• Management experience gained within repairs, maintenance, housing, or a similar sector
• Proven experience of successfully leading, managing, and motivating teams to deliver a great service
• Effective management and control of budgets
• Up to date knowledge of current policy issues in the housing sector, best practice service delivery and built environment issues
• Up to date knowledge on legislation and good practice in property compliance
• Experience of using maintenance and management information systems, extracting and interpreting data
• Experience of managing external contractors
