Planned social housing repairs supervisor required.

To manage and support the maintenance team in their duties.

Your Work

The most important things you will do are:

  1. The management and allocation of all works to operatives, based on skills and availability, for them to manage and deliver
  2. Keep the Service Manager and the client up to date with the overall delivery of works and the progress on any particular jobs which are important to them
  3. Support the operatives in their thinking and learning, ensuring they have the right technical and organisational skills to do their job
  4. Support for the service Manager when needed in the scoping, pricing and delivery of jobs
  5. Review the Work Type Trackers and Estimated Completion screens to ensure jobs are being properly managed, ensuring jobs are fully costed
  6. Support the Resource Controller in delivering the service
  7. Understand and enforce health and safety at all times, carrying out tool box talks and other training with your team, whether on site or in the office
  8. Have overall responsibility for the planning and delivery of work including legal compliance and certification.
  9. Measure performance of the service and your team over time, understanding issues and implementing solutions to make the contract run better

REQUIRED Experience

  • Commerical / housing maintenance housing experience
  • Response / reactive maintenance & planned works experience
  • Experience of working closely with trades and resource planners & sub contractors
  • Tool box talks
  • 1 to 1's
  • Customer / client facing role
