Business Operations - Reporting and Governance Manager

The Business Operations Reporting and Governance manager is responsible for defining the functional governance arrangements and managing the operational delivery of management information, analysis, and recommendations from within the function in line with this structure.

Location - Reading / Basingstoke / Hybrid role - flexible working from home available

Salary: Starting from £44,110 (dependant on experience)

Key Accountabilities:

  • The Business Operations Reporting Manager is accountable for developing and deploying the Functional Reporting Team vision, strategy, policy and standards in line with overall business requirements, through the effective collaboration of senior leaders and wider business units i.e. tech centres/functions
  • Establish a suitable functional governance and monitoring regime to ensure senior leaders have appropriate levels of information to feed Executive leadership in support of intelligent decision making.
  • Own and maintain functional reporting team delivery, governance, policies and procedures, ensuring that the relevant performance data is in place to meet the functional and business reporting rhythms, as well as customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the activities of the functional Reporting team, defining plans and objectives, ensuring high performance and engagement.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
  • Highlight key discussion and decision points that should be escalated based on data insight.
  • Own and manage the local Reporting Business Rhythm to manage delivery.
  • Own and manage the Functional Reporting dictionary.
  • Own and manage the Functional Document storage and retention policies.
  • Manage the pipeline of reporting development requirements and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of critical functional initiatives and projects.
  • Support the wider AWE business in developing and synchronising functional reporting strategies and reporting frameworks.
  • Ensure the internal 'voice of the customer' and feedback is managed, communicated, and fully understood.
  • Act as customer relationship manager in processing future reporting demands and local resource allocation.
  • The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
