Matthew is the Investment Adviser to the VT Gravis UK Listed Property Fund, the VT Gravis Digital Infrastructure Income Fund, and the Robeco Gravis Digital Infrastructure Income Fund. William is the Investment Adviser to the VT Gravis UK Infrastructure Income Fund and the VT Gravis Clean Energy Income Fund.Working closely with the Investment Advisers and fellow Senior Research Analyst, this research role will encompass a wide remit comprising both top-down sector level research together with bottom-up investment level research.Key Accountabilities:Global developed markets equity research, covering areas such as digital infrastructure, real estate (e.g. REITs and REOCs), and clean energy infrastructure consistent with meeting objectives of each fund.Researching established and emerging investment mega trends (e.g. ageing population, digitalisation, generation rent, urbanisation, and clean energy infrastructure).Investment analysis and research activities, to include company meetings, written research reviews, and building and maintaining company valuation models.Ensuring that the Investment Advisers are kept informed of any significant developments in the outlook for positions held within the portfolios.Make investment recommendations in line with the investment mandates and the team’s investment philosophy and process.Keep the wider team up to date with market updates.Participate in the development of the investment management strategy for the funds.Candidates must be able to produce investment research in an autonomous fashion whilst liaising closely with William, Matthew, and other colleagues within the Gravis investment team. From an investment perspective this person will provide input into the overall equity strategy and selection process to help achieve outperformance. This will include ensuring that the chosen investment strategy is being followed in the portfolio, fulfilling compliance with investment and reporting objectives and providing value added input to improve performance.QUALIFICATIONS & KEY ATTRIBUTESIdeal candidates will be educated to degree level and possess the CFA qualification. They must have a strong analytical profile and will currently be working either as a research analyst in an investment management group, wealth management firm, private equity house or pension fund, or possibly as a sell-side equity analyst who wishes to move to the buy-side.The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in and fascination with financial markets. They will possess investment research knowledge of global developed market REITs, especially the alternative property types including communication towers, data centres, logistics warehouses, and purpose-built student accommodation, together with knowledge of clean energy infrastructure.Candidates must be team players with intelligence, conviction, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, highly analytical, numerate and computer literate. They must be professional, determined, diligent and able to work in a systematic and disciplined manner. The candidate should be adaptable and able to work to tight deadlines.Candidates must be prepared to take on a high level of personal responsibility and autonomy and be self-motivated.
