Resident Engineer

Resident Engineer – West London – 12 Months – Outside IR35

We are currently seeking a Resident Engineer with experience in data centres to join an established design consultancy on a contract basis for 12 months in West London.

The successful candidate will be based in West London and will work on a prestigious data centre project.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the design, installation, and commissioning of all building services related to the project.


• Oversee the work of all subcontractors and ensure compliance with the design, specifications, and quality standards


• Liaise with the client, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standard


• Provide technical expertise and support to the design team.


• Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications


• Identify and manage any technical issues that arise during the project


• Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering


• Previous experience in a similar role, working on data center projects


• Knowledge of building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.


• Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and find solutions.


• Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH or IOSH) desirable
