Job Title: Night Shift Residential Childcare - Bank Staff

Location: Balerno, Edinburgh

Salary: �13.87p/h - �16p/h depending on qualifications.

Position Overview:



We are looking for Night Shift Residential Childcare to join the organisations pool of bank staff to join the team on a flexible basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and young people, ensuring their well-being and safety during night hours. You will provide essential overnight support and be a calm, reassuring presence for the young residents.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Night Supervision: Monitor the children during the night, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

  • Emotional Support: Provide a listening ear to young people when needed, offering emotional reassurance and care.

  • Safety Checks: Conduct regular checks throughout the night to ensure the safety and security of all residents.

  • Routine Management: Support any bedtime routines and respond appropriately to any disturbances or emergencies during the night.



Requirements:




  • Experience: Previous experience in residential childcare, social care, or a related field is highly desirable.

  • Compassionate Nature: A nurturing, empathetic, and patient attitude towards young people, understanding the importance of creating a safe environment.

  • Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People and/or HNC in Social Services or equivalent is desirable, but not essential. Training will be provided.
