My client is looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their well established office in Oxted, Surrey.
You will be providing assistance to the Fee Earners on a mixed caseload of property files including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, shared equity/shared ownership, new homes and part exchange.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients face to face and assisting via telephone and email.
- Make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up to date diary for the fee earners.
- Dealing with post completion tasks including submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax returns online and Land Registry Registrations/dealing with requisitions.
- Dealing with ID/AML procedures and requirements.
- Drafting contract packs and client care letters.
- Ordering property searches.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a conveyancing department. Candidates will not be considered if they do not have relevant experience.
- Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills.
- Fast, accurate typing ability, ideally using digital audio systems.
What they offer:
- Full time in the office – Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
- Salary depending on experience - £24,000 - £28,000.
