Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant

Sacco Mann are currently working on an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Northeast law firm looking to bring an experienced Legal Assistant to their highly successful Conveyancing team. This role would suit a candidate who are working at legal assistants, or secretaries working within a residential conveyancing department and who are ready for to take a step up.

The Role

\n

\n

You will be assisting fee earners in the team with a broad range of conveyancing transactions. This role allows you to work closer with experienced fee earners and gives you opportunity to learn more about conveyancing.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n

\n
• Preparing quotations and opening files
\n
• Assisting the progress of sale, purchase and remortgage cases
\n
• Compiling draft contract packs
\n
• Ordering redemption statements
\n
• Preparing mortgage reports
\n
• Liaising with and updating clients, other parties' solicitors and estate agents
\n
• Using and updating LMS/Lender Exchange/ULS platforms
\n

About You

\n

\n

\n
• \nPrevious experience of supporting a fee earner with all aspects of conveyancing transactions (or previous secretarial experience within a conveyancing department)
\n
• \nConfident communication with a range of clients and persons involved in the transaction/completion processes
\n
• \nDriven to develop a long-term career in residential conveyancing
\n
