Resorts Driver (Level 1)

Location:Bridport

Contract Type: Temporary

Salary: �12.65ph

Start Date: Monday 7th April 2025

End Date: Sunday 28th September 2025

Shifts: 4 days on, 2 days off

Barker Ross are loking for Resorts Drivers (Level 1) to join our team working on behalf of the council in the Bridport area, including the West Bay and Lyme Regis areas.

This is a temporary role and involves driving a council vehicle to empty bins and support the maintanance of resort cleanliness.

Key responsibilities:

  • Safely operate council vehicles to collect and empty bins in designated resort ares.
  • Ensure the safe disposal of waste and debris according to council regulations.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the resort areas.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, council policies, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working condition.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure efficient and timely completion of duties
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A valid UK driving license
  • Previous experience in a driving or waste collection role is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the West Bay and Lyme Regis area is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Flexibility to work on a 4 day on - 4 day off rotating shift pattern.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of cleanliness

Teams:

  • Green Team: West Bay area
  • Red Team: Lyme Regis area
  • White Team: Covers both West Bay and Lyme Regis area
