Respiratory Physiologist

📍 Location: Redruth, Cornwall
⏳ Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday (varied shift pattern based on local rota)
We are excited to be expanding our services in partnership with the NHS to support the delivery of accessible diagnostic services in the community. As part of this, we are launching a brand-new Community Diagnostic Centre in Redruth, Cornwall—and we’re looking for Respiratory Physiologists to join our team!
 
Your Role:
As a Respiratory Physiologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality respiratory diagnostics, ensuring patients receive accurate assessments and excellent care. You’ll be responsible for:
✅ Performing a range of diagnostic tests in line with ARTP guidelines, including spirometry, gas transfer, and static lung volumes.
✅ Assisting with specialist and complex diagnostic assessments.
✅ Producing reports and communicating findings to referring medical teams.
✅ Maintaining and calibrating diagnostic equipment to ensure accurate results.
✅ Supporting continual service development by keeping up to date with industry advancements and participating in professional societies.
✅ Providing mentoring and guidance to Trainee Healthcare Scientists.
✅ Line managing junior team members.
 
What We’re Looking For:
✔ BSc in Healthcare Science (Physiological Science) or equivalent with a specialisation in Respiratory and Sleep Science.
✔ ARTP Professional Qualifications and current registration with RCCP or AHCS.
✔ Commitment to Continuing Professional Development.
✔ A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
