Job Title: Responsive Surveyor
Location: Somerset (hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £44,500
Contract Type: Permanent

This is an opportunity to work with an organisation who provide affordable housing spanning the south of England in a variety of locations. They provide options for people to be able to purchase their own home as a response to the housing crisis.

The role:

You will be responsible for ensuring all minor works and responsive repairs are delivered in a timely manner to a high standard, addressing queries from customers.

You will be responsible for undertaking domestic and commercial building surveys in order to best advise on the works to be carried out, this can include defects, disrepair and dilapidations. Providing detailed reports on findings.

Work with other employees to guide on a range of matters such as use of specialist equipment, repair techniques, procurement and technical surveying.

What we need from you:

Essential Qualifications:

• Relevant technical (HNC or higher) qualification in Building, Surveying, Planning or similar technical field
• Full, current driving license

Desirable Qualifications:

• RICS or CIOB membership
• Working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation with particular reference to the building and construction sector

Knowledge & Experience:

• Working well with people across all levels
• Able to provide training to others
• Co-ordinating others ensuring that everyone adheres to health and safety policies and procedures
• Current methods, standards and initiatives relating to repair and refurbishment of residential dwellings
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of financial and contractual considerations
• Risk Management – theory and application
