Restaurant Manager for Private Members Club in St James - £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: St. James's, London
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Contract: Full time, 48 hours per week with Sundays off
NB: Willingness to work 1 to 2 closing shifts per week, ending between 1:30 AM and 2 AM where a taxi home will be provided
NB: Availability to work during busy evenings, specifically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
A prestigious private members club in St. James's is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee the one of their restaurant's operations, managing a team of staff. This exclusive establishment, known for its exceptional service and passion for fine wine, requires an individual with the ability to work independently and maintain the high standards set by the club.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations on the 1st floor, ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained.
Lead and inspire a team of staff, providing guidance for outstanding guest satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and menu adherence.
Manage staff schedules efficiently, with a focus on balancing operational needs.
Utilise your passion for wine or wine knowledge to enhance the overall guest experience.
Work closely with department heads to contribute to the overall success of the club.
Demonstrate strong organisational skills to ensure smooth service flow and customer focused attention.
Excellent multitasking skills required
High attention to detail is crucial
Ability to navigate between lounge area and busy restaurant
No bookings for the restaurant, so flexibility and versatility are key
Experience in a high-volume establishment and brasserie experience is preferred
Able to manage team and oversee training, including basic HR responsibilities and recruitment
Independence is necessary, with mentoring skills for younger staff
Professional, with a focus on respecting house rules
Strong skills in analytics, budgeting, finance, and payroll are a significant bonus
Requirements:
Candidates need to be at least Restaurant Manager with event experience level to be considered for this role
Proven management experience in a high volume restaurant or private members club setting.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills for effective team guidance.
Passion for delivering outstanding service and crafting memorable guest experiences.
Ideally, possess some wine knowledge or a strong passion for wine.
Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
Immediate availability is preferred due to the urgency of the position.
