Were looking for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our ambitious team at 1 York Place.
1 York Place a small independently owned 46 seater restaurant on the outskirts of Clifton Village in Bristol, serving the best of European food and wine in a relaxed environment.
We offer a classic a la carte menu. Made with highest quality produce carefully sourced from the very best suppliers and producers. We also offer an extensive wine list carefully chosen by our chef owner Freddy Bird.

The role
Deliver excellent customer service and lead by example
Open and closing shifts cashing up of tills, ensuring procedures are adhered to
Ensure all areas are cleaned, presented to a high standard and fully stocked at all times
Assist the managers with management duties for the department such as compliance training, stocktaking, training and reviewing team members, compiling rotas
Complete and carry out informative and exciting pre-shift briefings.
Present a high standard of personal hygiene
The ideal candidate
You pride yourself in having excellent time management skills; consistently organizing your work efficiently and effectively
Youll be consistent, reliable and display strong background at a supervisor level with experience in leading busy service.
A strong knowledge in wine would be a great bonus but a willingness to learn is key as training can be provided.
Versatility and flexibility are required as we are a small, tightknit team. You will be required to cover the bar at times so will have good knowledge of classic cocktails
Methodical in your approach, you have the ability to adapt and react to any situation
Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests
You have a positive can do attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eye for detail
You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour plus very generous tronc/service charge (approx. £180-240 per week).
