Retrofit Coordinator

About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the expanding Retrofit department of a leading built environment consultancy that specializes in providing comprehensive retrofit services across the industry.
In this role, you will work on large-scale social housing regeneration projects, implementing multiple energy efficiency measures. Many of these projects involve upwards of 500 properties at a time, incorporating fabric measures, building appliances, and renewable energy solutions.
You will be part of a collaborative team working closely with in-house professionals from various disciplines, including architecture, sustainability, engineering, and building surveying. This role offers a chance to expand your expertise within the built environment while contributing to meaningful projects that make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
Professional Tasks:
Manage retrofit projects from inception to completion, collaborating with in-house or external retrofit assessors, retrofit designers, and contractors.
Safeguard the interests of clients and the public, ensuring projects are safe, high-quality, and achieve maximum performance.
Facilitate seamless communication between teams throughout project life cycles while maintaining compliance with PAS2035 standards.
Perform energy modeling and develop Improvement Option Evaluations and Medium-Term Plans for multiple properties across various projects.
Ensure compliance with PAS2035, PAS2030, and Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) funding requirements.
Lodge completed properties onto the TrustMark database.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders, track key performance metrics, and attend scheduled project meetings.
Advise on energy efficiency measures that address client goals, such as enhancing energy performance, reducing carbon emissions, and lowering fuel costs.
Engage with external stakeholders, including social housing providers, asset managers, contractors, and clients.
Organize key documentation such as retrofit assessment data, technical surveys, and insurance guarantees to ensure PAS2035 and PAS2030 compliance.
Support retrofit designers in creating PAS2035-compliant property design packs.
Personal Attributes:
Technologically adept, with proficiency in various software and Microsoft Office applications.
Comfortable commuting to the Manchester office with hybrid working arrangements occasional office presence is required.
Holds a valid driver's license for site visits when needed.
Analytical mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills and Experience Required:
Mandatory: Level 5 Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management qualification.
Experience coordinating retrofit projects under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) schemes.
Preferred but not essential: Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings or Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor qualifications.
Consultancy experience or a background in retrofit-related projects.
Familiarity with energy efficiency modelling software, such as Elmhurst Design SAP 2012.
Understanding of PAS2035 processes, including producing Improvement Option Evaluations and Medium-Term Plans, as well as lodging work with TrustMark.
