My client is looking for a Portfolio Risk & Assurance Manager to join a brand new team. As Portfolio Risk and Assurance Manager, you'll play a critical role in the effective management of risk across Technology Digital and Data change landscape and service Operations. This includes the identification, quantification and analysis of risk trends and overall risk exposure alongside the value driven mitigation of these risks and planning and implementation of contingencies as appropriate.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
• Ensuring accurate risk trends and exposure reporting.
• Managing risk budgets to meet strategic goals within set timeframes and budgets.
• Monitoring and enhancing mitigation strategies to align with risk impact and exposure.
• Conducting scenario planning to ensure the robustness of contingency strategies.
• Supporting the application of audit and assurance frameworks to improve risk management strategies.
• Adopt and tailor broad frameworks, standards, and policies to specific organisational needs.
• Ensures appropriate risk practices and principles are applied across portfolios.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
• Strong experience in Portfolio Risk Management and Assurance leadership experience within IT, OT and Data contexts.
• Strong track record in managing risk at a strategic level and understanding assurance lines of defence.
• Experience in senior-level engagements and presenting on risk trends, exposures, and senior leaders' risk appetites.
• Strategic view on risk, identifying trends and assessing vulnerability exposures.
• Must understand foundational risk management concepts, strategic risk exposure, and holistic risk views.
• Ability to amalgamate risks into key strategic concerns for leadership
• Qualified to Practitioner Level in an industry-recognised Risk Management Methodology.
• Be familiar with structured project management methodologies and a good understanding of the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle, in particular Agile delivery.
• The ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
