Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our mental health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to individuals facing mental health challenges, offering support throughout their recovery journey. A strong understanding of anatomy and a commitment to patient well-being are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments, as part of a multi-disciplinary assessment team.


• Collaborate closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist to ensure a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care.


• Deliver a fast and responsive service to assess individuals' needs for access to mental health services.


• Effectively refer patients to appropriate clinicians within the service or to external services/agencies as needed.


• Facilitate communication between GPs, NHS Talking Therapies, and other services within the Trust and non-statutory organizations to maintain the highest standards of patient care.


• Provide mentoring and clinical supervision to staff members and trainees on placement.

 Hours:

Monday to Sunday 9AM - 5PM with possibility to be extended to 8AM - 8PM
