RN Band 5 - Community Role - East Sutherland area - Monday to Friday - 0900-1700

\n

  Full UK driving licence is essential - We have pool cars for use, however due to our location, they will need a car to get around personally as we have very limited public transport.

  \n

  This is a generic community nurse role - Basic knowledge and skills:

  \n
  \n
  • Liaise with other agencies re the provision of equipment, co-ordinate delivery and ensure appropriate training/use and adequate maintenance in accordance with the guidelines of safety accuracy, safe moving and handling
  \n
  • Tracking hoists, mobile hoists, application of various types of slings ( for hoists) toilet frames/ seats, wheelchairs, sanichairs, turntables and sliding sheets
  \n
  • Profiling beds, electric air mattresses and pressure relieving cushions and mattresses
  \n
  • Doppler's for leg ulcer assessment
  \n
  • Sphygmanometer for blood pressure monitoring
  \n
  • Insulin pens - various types and glucose monitors
  \n
  • Dressings
  \n
  • Bed Cradles
  \n
  • PICC line care
  \n
  • Syringe driverd
  \n
  • Catheters - urethral, supra pubi
  \n
  • Anaphylaxis equipment, oxygen in the home, nebuliser machines, emergency resuscitation equipment e.g. masks
  \n
  • Needles and syringes and blood collection tubes
  \n
  • Oxygen
  \n
  • Basic car maintenance
  \n
  • Chronic disease management, Wound and skin care management,Management of elimination, Palliative/ terminal care
  \n

Essential Qualifications:

\n

We are looking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) with:

\n

\n
• NMC Registration.
\n
• At least 2 years post-graduate experience.
\n
• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
\n
• The ability to pass an enhanced background check.
\n
