9am-5pmOur client is an International 3PL who have now to expand in the UK across a growing number of sites. They offer a variety of Multi-modal Logistics & Freight services & we are delighted to partner them in their search for an experienced, senior Business Development Manager for their Road Freight division. This client operates a business model that will allow you the freedom to be entrepreneurial in a professional but very much non-corporate culture.Main Tasks and Responsibilities:OperationalEstablish own leads and target via the internal tele-sales team and/or email campaigns.To support the Branch and General Manager in maintaining current customer accounts as well as procuring new customers. Ensuring that excellent customer service is always provided.Proactively contact new customers according to targets mutually set & agreed with line Manager.Actively sell and promote all the companys services once contact has been made.Prepare any quotations as required by the customer and follow up as necessary.Maintain an up-to-date record of the above four requirements and submit to line manager in report form on a weekly basis.Proactive, professional & first-class customer service at all times.AdministrationUsing sales management system to input customer details and carry out sales tasksSales Reporting using company software.Both searching for possible tenders and progressing with current tendersPeople ManagementWorking with the team to ensure that customer service is always maintainedCommunicate with all members of staff at all levelsRequirementsEssentialProven experience in sales across road freight Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor qualityConsistently manages the task in hand.Full UK driving licenseThis is a fantastic opportunity
