We have an exciting opportunity for an Roofing Area Technical Manager - Midlands, to join the external Sales team on a full time permanent basis. You will be field based in the Midlands region.
Overview of the role:
As the Roofing Area Technical Manager - Midlands your primary focus will be to build on business relationships through customer communications to maximise favourable exposure of the company, its products and its services.
You will be accountable for delivering an area sales budget, building productive and efficient relationships with Waterproofing Partners, Main Contractors & Sub–Contractors, whilst managing specified projects through the existing supply chain to successful completion for the full range of flat and tapered roofing products.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the identification of all customers/potential customers, markets and product applications within area of ownership.
Initiate, develop and manage sales activities within the geographical area to support business objectives.
Responsible for customer communication to maximise business relationships and ensure maximum favourable exposure of the company, its products and services.
Accountable for maximising conversion to order as a result of proactive response to customer contact, enquiries, tenders and requests to quote.
Responsible for feeding-back marketing information concerning competition, customers etc. with respect to project specifications, pricing, distribution, and delivery.
Responsible for providing to customers professional technical advice and support, services, site surveys and training to develop augmented product and improve market share.
Accountable for the formulation of area sales input to the annual and 3-yearly business plans/strategy.
Generate specifications.
Undertake CPD presentations at major Architectural, Main Contracting & Sub-Contracting offices.
Carrying out on-site Flat Roofing Surveys, which includes the potential for working at height and alone, full training will be provided.
Developing and managing a pipeline of projects in your region.
What we are looking for in our Roofing Area Technical Manager - Midlands
Essential
Good level of education
Proven sales and account development experience.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual.
Proven ability to exceed targets.
Ability to be a good team player, have an out-going, adaptable personality.
Hold a full UK driving license.
Able to travel and work away from home.
Desirable:
Experienced within a similar background; ideally familiar with selling into or within the construction industry.
Experience within the Flat Roofing/Construction sector
Experience in the position's geographic area.
Presentation skills.
IT literate.
