Rust Software Engineer - Major Hedge Fund

Job DescriptionOur client, a major Quantitative Hedge fund, is looking to hire a Rust/Python Software Engineer to help develop a new systematic trading platform. This individual will work closely with a new Quant trading team to help optimise their trading platforms and strategies.This is a greenfield project and is a fantastic opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of the quantitative trading business.This role gives you the opportunity to join one of the world's most successful hedge funds, collaborate with an exceptionally talented team operating in a hybrid approach, and earn market-leading compensation packages.Responsibilities:Maintain a high standard of code quality, develop accompanying test suites, demonstrate initiative, and engage in active collaboration with their colleaguesDefining the system's architecture, crafting component designs, implementing them using Rust and Python, and seamlessly integrating them into the broader platformCollaborate with a close-knit team comprised of passionate and knowledgeable individuals who embrace a flexible working environmentUphold the best software development practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and rigorous code reviewsDesirable Candidates:Minimum of 1-4 years of hands-on experience with RustExperience with Python developmentIdeally experience working at a Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, Investment Bank or Trading firmA robust foundation in Computer Science, including expertise in areas such as standard algorithms, high-performance coding, concurrency and multi-threading, systems architecture, and numerical programmingBS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplineCQF certification is a bonusTo discuss the role in confidence, please reach out to Rhys at #####.
