Role Overview:
Responsible for safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals, managing concerns, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining accurate records. Collaborates with staff, parents, and external agencies to create a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage safeguarding cases and ensure compliance with legislation.
Provide training and workshops on safeguarding for staff, students, and parents.
Update and enforce safeguarding policies.
Liaise with external agencies and attend multi-agency meetings.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure timely reporting of concerns.
Qualifications & Relevant Experience:
Safeguarding Expertise: Extensive experience in safeguarding or child protection roles.
Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with safeguarding laws and best practices.
Certification: Relevant qualifications, e.g., Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Communication Skills: Strong ability to liaise with students, parents, and agencies.
Confidentiality: Proven ability to manage sensitive information and conduct risk assessments.
