About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team in Inverness. You will play a pivotal role in evolving our Safety Management System to meet the needs of the site while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead safety initiatives, develop training programmes, and work closely with other West Fraser Europe sites to promote best practices and achieve our Health & Safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evolve the existing Safety Management System to meet site requirements and ensure legal compliance.
- Provide specialist Health & Safety knowledge and support to site personnel.
- Develop and coordinate the delivery of the Safety training programme.
- Collaborate with other West Fraser Europe sites to share best practices and implement the West Fraser safety vision.
- Assist in developing systems that promote personal ownership of Safety.
- Develop a Process Safety Management System and foster a perfect Process Safety Performance culture on site.
- Lead High-Risk Employee Management and High-Risk Scenario training.
- Complete Hazard and Operability Studies on critical processes and all new investments/significant changes.
- Act as the Safety Steering Committee Owner, providing clear direction to leaders and all safety subcommittees.
- Manage the Change Owner process for Personal and Process Safety.
- Ensure all H&S reports and Leading Indicators are delivered within timelines.
About You:
