The Role
As a Sales Account Manager, you will take ownership of developing and strengthening relationships with local authorities while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will play a vital role in driving sales of industrial vehicles, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the industry.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities to maximize sales opportunities.
- Identify and target potential new clients and emerging markets within the region.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and implement effective customer strategies.
- Provide strategic input and support for tender submissions to win key contracts.
- Consistently meet and exceed revenue goals and sales targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in selling plant equipment or industrial vehicles (e.g. Refuge Collection vehicles, Street Sweepers etc.) into local authorities and public sector enterprises.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-lasting client relationships.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate product benefits to clients.
- High levels of self-motivation and drive, with excellent organisational skills.
- IT proficiency and familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively across Scotland and the North of England.
