Are you an experienced sales professional with a passion for logistics and supply chain solutions? Maybe you're a proven sales person who wants to take the next step in their career towards a strategic level?

As a Sales & Commercial Manager, you will be representing a freight forwarding business based in Belfast who specialise in air, road, and ocean freight, along with comprehensive customs services. Since the inception of the business, they have grown from strength to strength whilst continually investing in their staff, training, services and strategic locations throughout the UK.

This is a newly created role to support the continued growth of the organisation and as such are looking for a leader to drive the sales and commercial strategy and be the face of the business, meeting prospects, clients and doing what you do best- converting leads into sales!

The Role:

  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategy: Lead the creation and execution of a sales and commercial strategy aimed at expanding market presence in Northern Ireland, with a long-term vision for growth into Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a Sales Administrator, ensuring the team is motivated, skilled, and aligned with the company's goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Key Account Manager to identify new business opportunities and enhance existing client relationships.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand the competitive landscape in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Sales Growth: Achieve sales targets by securing new business and expanding existing accounts through innovative sales techniques and exceptional customer service.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and develop strategic plans.
  • Self-motivated, with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
