Permanent Sales Consultant required for Leading Renewable Energy Company based in Lisburn. Job Summary The Sales Consultant will focus on converting sales leads, meeting with prospective customers, and closing deals to achieve sales targets. This role involves educating customers on the benefits of solar energy, conducting site assessments and working closely with the office team to deliver tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and a keen interested in renewable energy. Duties and Responsibilities: Customer Engagement & Consultation: Engage with potential customers to understand their energy needs and financial goals. Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact and energy independence. Conduct initial consultations, either in person or remotely, to assess the customers' property and suitability for solar installation. Site Assessment & Analysis: Conduct or coordinate site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installation. Analyse energy usage, roof condition, shading, and other factors that impact the performance of a solar installation. Usage of design software to create custom solar proposals. Proposal Development & Presentation: Develop customised proposals that meet the customers needs and budget. Present proposals to customers, explaining the technical and financial aspects of the solar system, including expected energy savings and financing options. Address any questions or concerns regarding the installation process Sales & Contract Negotiation: Close sales by guiding customers through the contract signing process. Negotiate terms & conditions to meet both the customers' and company's interests. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing communication with customers throughout the sales process. Develop and nurture long-term relationships with customers to encourage referrals and repeat business. Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and positive reviews. Market Awareness & Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technological advancements in solar energy. Continuously improve product knowledge and sales techniques through training and professional development Be aware of competitor activity and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly. Compliance & Ethical Sales Practices: Ensure all sales practices comply with company policies, industry standards (RECC and MCS etc) and relevant laws and regulations. Maintain high ethical standards in all dealing with customers and colleagues. Essential Criteria: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sales ideally within the renewable industry. Full UK driving licence Proficient in MS Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent communication skills both written and verbal High attention to detail Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team Flexibility to work occasionally outside hours if attending shows etc Hours of Work: 8.30am 5pm Monday - Thursday & 8.30am 2pm Friday Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (DOE) plus Commission For further information contact Tanya Lyttle at GenTech Recruitment on Skills: Sales Consultant Renewable Energy Target Achiever Excellent Communication Skills
