An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sales Designer in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. For almost 25 years, this company has been dedicated to creating beautiful bespoke furniture for their clients’ homes. They put the customer at the heart of everything they do and design, manufacture and install furniture for the whole home that seeks to exceed their clients’ expectations.
Due to continued expansion, they are seeking to recruit a Sales Designer to join their friendly team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Kitchen Designer and be someone who has a ‘customer-first’ approach, is able to work under their own initiative within the systems of the business and is a true team player.
About the role
As a Bespoke Sales Designer, you will work closely with clients to create personalised designs that match their vision and lifestyle. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the entire design process, from initial consultation to final design approval, ensuring their needs are met whilst maintaining the highest design standards. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical knowledge, and excellent client communication skills.
About the responsibilities
The role of Sales Designer requires you to have / be:
- Proficient in using CAD design software (knowledge of the ArtiCAD software programme would be particularly advantageous)
- Design a range of inspiring bespoke room layouts from notes and sketches
- A flair for design to create innovative plans that seek to exceed client expectations
- An exceptional eye for detail to ensure that the design is both practical and provides the ‘wow’ factor our clients are looking for
- Highly organised and able to manage your own time and diary to ensure that work is completed on time
- Proactive in providing updates and feedback to other members of the sales team on a frequent basis
- Able to follow the sales process in face-to-face meetings with clients to present design ideas and the quotation to secure high value sales
- Being confident in your engagement with clients throughout their purchasing journey is paramount to ensure that the level of service is of the very best
- A passion to keep up to date with developments in interior design trends and the evolution of key components such as appliances, work surfaces, etc, is crucial so that you can be a source of inspiration and expertise for clients
- Able to carry out site visits to measure and discuss proposed projects and record detailed site surveys which can then be transformed into an ArtiCAD design
- Be able to meet with prospective clients who visit the showroom and provide outstanding and knowledgeable customer service
- A commitment to uphold the Company’s vision, mission and values in all interactions with clients, team members and third parties
The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a small office team and also part of the wider manufacturing and installation team in order to provide technical expertise which will support the process of creating orders for the design components.
About the rewards
For the full time permanent role of Sales Designer, there is a salary on offer of £30,000 to £35,000 per annum and benefits include:

About you
To be successful for the role of Sales Designer, you must have / be:
- Proven experience as a kitchen designer, preferably with bespoke or high-end kitchen projects.
- Proficiency in design software - familiarity with ArtiCAD would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of kitchen ergonomics, space planning, and interior design principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients and articulate design concepts effectively
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused service.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and work to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
