Job Description
SS&C Business Development Team
A leading independent Fund Administration business with offices in multiple jurisdictions including Canada, Dubai, Dublin, German, Hong Kong, London, Luxembourg, New York, Singapore and Switzerland.
We are actively seeking a new Sales Development Representative who will be responsible for identifying and facilitating new sales opportunities.

This role would suit a collaborative, target driven, structured and hungry business development executive passionate about winning new business. The preferred candidate must have hedge funds and private markets experience.
About the Role
The candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing quality potential client meetings for the Senior Business Development Team across Europe. This will be achieved mainly through cold calling, direct marketing, and networking events.
The individual will have primary responsibility for running and managing sales campaigns across SS&C’s full range of fund services solutions.
This role would suit a proactive, collaborative, structured and hungry candidate who is passionate about relationship building and sales.
Responsibilities:
Help generate new business opportunities through a variety of methods, including cold calling, marketing campaigns, industry events and conferences.
Help build a strong pipeline within Alternatives Investment space (e.g. Private Equity, Real Assets, Private & Public Debt, Hedge Funds, Asset Owners).
Qualify potential prospects quickly to determine their suitability for a particular SS&C solution.
Track all sales activities and touchpoints in SS&C’s CRM system to ensure timely, accurate and complete information is represented on sales and management reporting.
Assist to prepare prospect engagement documentation, including discovery calls, on-site and virtual presentations, product demonstrations, follow-up meetings.
Follow up on all prospect activities in a timely manner. There must be an astute strategy and execution plan for each prospect interaction.
Build strong industry relationships with prospects and expand your professional network within the alternative investment space.
Work with Sales to prepare detailed write-ups on prospects that include a well-defined strategy, tactics and prospect backgrounds to ensure internal resources and subject matter experts are prepared and briefed for sales presentations.
Help build the firm’s brand and increase brand awareness to generate quality leads
Attend industry events/conferences.
Your Experience
Pre-Sales / Business Development experience in the financial services technology industry or industry experience from working within financial institutions engaging c-suite
Professional fluency in English is required, and it would be beneficial if you are also multilingual with professional fluency in French, Spanish, German, or Italian
Bachelors’ degree in finance, economics or related area is advantageous
Ability to make ‘cold calls’
Excellent communication and writing skills including independent client facing presentations.
Ability to initiate, develop and maintain relationships and can represent SS&C both internally and externally.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a quick learner and will be expected to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
