Sales Director Location : London, near Cannon Street. Working on a hybrid approach. Salary: The base salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. In addition, there will be a performance-based commission structure, developed collaboratively with the Founder, and equity participation, providing a meaningful stake in the company's success. My Green-tech client is a cutting-edge B2B SaaS start-up dedicated to helping commercial organisations monetise and decarbonise their buildings by transforming them into virtual power plants. Their technology platform leverages satellite data and computer vision to automate and digitise the entire lifecycle of solar installations, enabling customers to plan, install, maintain, finance, and trade electricity through a single, centralised platform. This innovation saves 90% of time and resources while increasing solar adoption by 10X. Backed by 3 years of R&D supported by the University of Oxford and the European Space Agency, and funded by leading investors including Techstars, QVentures, and prolific angel investors, they are poised for rapid growth. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to join our team as our first commercial sales hire. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead our sales function from the ground up, develop and execute sales strategies, and drive significant revenue growth. You will be instrumental in expanding our customer base within the real estate sector, including commercial real estate companies, local authorities, and social housing groups. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration. Build and lead the sales team from 0 to circa 8 by mid next year, establishing sales processes, goals, and performance metrics. Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, with a focus on commercial real estate customers. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including senior executives and C-suite stakeholders. Leverage existing networks and contacts within the real estate industry to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline. Working closely with the Founder & CTO, providing insights and feedback to ensure our offerings meet market needs and customer expectations. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to the executive team. What we're looking for: Experience working at an early-stage start-up, with demonstrated ability to build and execute a sales strategy and scale sales teams. Ideally the first or one of the first commercial hires on the ground. Proven track record of success in a sales leadership role within the solar, climatetech, energytech, or real estate industry. Deep understanding of the commercial real estate market and experience selling to real estate customers. Strong network of contacts within the real estate sector and familiarity with the decision-making processes of senior executives. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable with aggressive growth targets.
