Sales Engineer

We have exclusivley partnered with the Global Market Leader in�high perfomance silicone hoses for the Motorsport and Automotive industry.�

They have been in business for 35 years and have cemented their 'go to' status for their products�in F1, motoGP, motorsport as a whole, and perfomanace car manufactures like McLaren.�

Operating from their manufacturing facility in Pontyclun they manufactre an exceptioinal product and distribute globally.�

They are seeking a Sales Engineer to join the team to help drive the business forward.

Ultimately, the business are looking to expand further in to Automotive and increase orders with current larger customers.�

Currently the general manager is heavily involved with customers which affords us the opportunity to bring someone into this role without the automotive experience, even potentially someone on their way up in a slaes role within another automotive manufacturing business.�

As the Sales Engineer you will have the following responsibilities:

Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves:

• Leading & supporting the sales team and customer services


• Developing relationships with regular customers to maintain and foster new business.


• Account management of customer order book


• Handling of customer enquiries for new products and RFQs


• Estimating materials & labour costing, plus customer quotations as required.


• Providing advice to customers and assisting with customer engineering problems


• Following up with customers to assist in converting enquiries to sales.


• Updating systems and price lists for new parts


• Leading & supporting the sales engineer and customer services


• Supporting colleagues as new parts are deployed throughout the organisation.


• Supporting the marketing dept with shows & events resulting in occasional weekend work/possible nights away
