Sales Engineer

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a global, market leading�engineering manufacturer.

The successful Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager�be developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts through distribution channels and OEM customers for�mechanical rotating equipment products�including�mechanical seals, pneumatics, gaskets, couplings (compressor couplings, pump couplings), valves, engineering components, bearings and more.
This is a field-based role, with time spent in the Glasgow office when not travelling and for the initial training period.

The successful Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will come from a Mechanical Engineering background�selling fluid power or mechanical products�such as pumps, compressed air, mechanical seals, valves, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, filtration, actuators, or similar�rotating equipment /�mechanical engineering related products and services.

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager�Role

• Will have a primary focus on selling products and services within the mechanical rotating equipment industry�including�mechanical seals, pneumatics, gaskets, couplings (compressor couplings, pump couplings), valve components, bearings and more.
• Generate & provide quotations & proposals of rotating equipment products to customers.
• Working closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
• Maintaining new rotating equipment sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
• This is a field-based role, with time spent in the Glasgow office when not travelling and for the initial training period.
• Liaise with various engineering departments.

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager�Requirements

• Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within Engineering.
• Service Engineers�within�experience on�rotating machinery�are encouraged to apply.
• Sales experience within fluid power / mechanical products�such as pumps, compressed air, mechanical seals, valves, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, filtration, actuators, or similar�rotating equipment /�mechanical engineering related products and services.
• Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed, grow with a global market leading manufacturer.
• Full clean driving license.
• A relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification i.e. Degree, HNC, HND would be advantageous
• Office based in Glasgow daily�when not travelling and for the initial training period.
