Sales Engineer - £45,000 - £60,000



Are you a System Administrator, Server Administrator, VMware Administrator or Back-Up Administrator who enjoys talking to customers about their business challenges? Or maybe an IT Field Engineer who is looking to move into a Sales role?



My client is an award-winning IT Distributor with outstanding business revenues for a company of its size, and with ambitious targets to continue this level of performance they require a Sales Engineer to join their team.



Your role will see you presenting Tech Solutions to customers via web meetings or face-to-face, providing them with technical information on a portfolio of Solutions that will lead to closing deals and achieving targets. You will also be undertaking on-site installation of solutions for customers when required.



Key responsibilities and duties will require experience and knowledge such as:




  • Virtualisation, Servers & general IT infrastructure, Back-up and Cloud Computing

  • Presenting technical information in an easy-to-understand format

  • Product/service knowledge including technical aspects and the benefits a product would have for a customer

  • Excellent customer service skills, including after-sales communication and care

  • Managing your own schedule to manage and make appointments with clients

  • Ability to work within a sales team to hit wider company targets and goals and personal sales targets

  • Analyse and present sales data to management

  • Monitoring and tracking latest industry trends, discoveries and developments

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques to differentiate our products from competitors

  • Building and maintaining presentation slide packs



Qualifications and Experience:




  • 3+ years prior sales engineering experience.

  • Experience presenting and supporting sales for servers, storage hardware, networking, data protection solutions or virtualization and Cloud based solutions would be beneficial but not a must.



You will receive full training on specific vendor propositions you’ll be working with.
