Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex

Salary / Rate of pay: £35,000 + a generous car allowance

Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a popular business who is an organisation within the aerospace industry, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Executive to join their team.

This mainly office-based sales position reports to the General Manager and will work within the sales team to review client enquiries received, quote clients as necessary and review client orders received. This sales role is expected to build and maintain relationships with relevant clients and to promote and build the account in line with the sales budget. The role is also expected to promote new leads found by themselves or given to them by the General Manager or the Sales Development Rep.

What's involved?

To positively manage client requirements and relationships ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and delivery of sales in line with the department strategy and targets.

  • To help clients identify their product needs and deal with any client questions.
  • To ensure that complete information is passed to Sales Support to enable them to process client enquiries.
  • To provide timely quotations to position to win profitable business.
  • To negotiate with clients on prices and terms of potential sales (involving line manager as appropriate)
  • To carry out more detailed Investigations through discussion / correspondence with clients for more complex opportunities.
  • To co-ordinate support from other staff to help provide technical guidance and advice for clients and find solutions to more complex client requirements.
  • To Follow up higher value quotations, to understand reasons why we have won or lost potential sales.
  • To make Client service calls, promotional calls and visits to Clients in line with agreed schedule to maintain client relationships, probe for new business opportunities and keep abreast of the client's projects, business and future requirements. (KAR's 2, 3 & 4 refer)
  • To maintain/increase the overall targeted profit margin for each allocated client. (KAR 5 refers)
  • To work with Sales Support to ensure that client delivery dates are monitored and updates are provided to clients and our internal systems, as appropriate.
  • To support the purchasing team with all relevant information to enable efficient processing of the clients requirements.
  • To support the purchasing function through providing technical expertise as required in support of the process for sourcing suppliers.
  • To liaise with the purchasing team, as required, to enable efficient progressing and prioritizing of suppliers orders.
  • To contact potential clients and engage with them to learn about their business requirements and establish a relationship to begin trading, as directed by your Line Manager.
  • To achieve agreed sales targets for allocated clients. (KAR 6 refers)
  • To support the preparation for and to attend trade shows and exhibitions as appropriate.
  • To undertake other duties as may be reasonably required
  • To work with the Sales Support Team providing cover through any staff absences
